The Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea participates in the Museum for All project, conceived and developed by the non-profit association l’Abilità in partnership with Fondazione De Agostini. The initiative promotes social inclusion and full access to culture for people with intellectual disabilities through specially designed visitor routes and materials, enabling everyone to enjoy a rewarding museum experience.
A permanent educational itinerary has been developed and can be followed using a guide available for download or from the museum ticket desk. It enables visitors to become familiar with the museum spaces and artworks, reducing barriers to understanding while enhancing cognitive and emotional engagement with the museum experience.
The itinerary has been conceived from an inclusive perspective so that everyone, particularly people with intellectual disabilities, can take part in the visit. It is based on the principle that each person brings different abilities that can be recognised and fostered within a cooperative learning environment.
