From the photographic experiments of Man Ray to more recent artistic research, this programme offers an exploration of contemporary art through works that reflect on the representation of objects, the study of light and movement, and the experimentation with innovative techniques and visual languages. The visit provides an opportunity to observe how, throughout the twentieth century, artists used different materials, tools and media to expand the possibilities of the image and of perception. The experience concludes with a cyanotype workshop, revisiting an early photographic process from a contemporary perspective. Cyanotype makes it possible to produce a photographic image through exposure to UV light. Students will create original works, developing a personal visual narrative through direct experimentation with the photographic process.
