During a tour of the Gallery’s collection, young participants will be guided in discovering works of abstract art and Art Informel by Mondrian, Kandinsky and Twombly. By looking closely at the works, they will learn to identify the distinctive features of each one, focusing on colour, technique and composition. The activity will take place entirely in the galleries of the Galleria Nazionale, with the aid of tools designed to help children explore and experiment with the meanings we associate with colours and investigate the internal rhythm of each work by discovering positive and negative space within pictorial compositions.
